Home Turf Taproom now open in Parkland
Share

Parkland’s newest taproom, Home Turf, opened at Garfield Station in late August. John Fosberg, founder of Gig Harbor Brewing Co., is one of the people behind the project. The taproom is within steps of Pacific Lutheran University.
The tap list features brew, cider and wine. The beverage menu is posted on flat-panel screens behind the bar (see photos below). There are snacks, but no substantial menu. There are menus at the front counter for nearby Farrelli’s pizza and outside food is welcomed. Trapper’s Sushi is next door and across the street and down a block in each direction are some great dining finds: Marzano, Zen Sushi Burrito & Ramen and 208 Garfield.

The hours are posted on the front door, with the sign also noting “beverages to go & outdoor seating only.” Taproom hours during current dining restrictions are 2-8 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and 12-6 Sunday. Fosberg said he’ll be sending out information soon about the taproom. I’ll update this post when I get more details. Here are photos of the interior and last weekend’s tap list. The taproom is for those 21 and older only.
