Dine Pierce County is managed by Sue Kidd, a longtime food journalist and restaurant enthusiast who is committed to helping grow the Tacoma and Pierce County dining scene.
Sue previously was the restaurant critic and food editor from 2004 to 2019 for The News Tribune in Tacoma, and restaurant critic and dining columnist from 1997 to 2004 for the King County Journal. Sue holds a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from Western Washington University and has a certificate in UX Web Design from Green River College.
Sue is an alumnus member of the Association of Food Journalists. That longtime food journalist organization is now defunct, but alumnus members still adhere to the AFJ’s ethical standards for food and restaurant writers.
High editorial standards are used to produce dining stories on this website. All food written about on this website is paid for by Dine Pierce County. No freebies are accepted.
This website is an independent journalism project. No advertising, promotional consideration or payments of any kind are accepted for articles. The only way to get an article written is to do something newsworthy, interesting or engaging in the Pierce County dining community. The only financial support accepted is through Patreon.
